해외 포럼을 통해 외국 브리더들은 어떤 약품을 주로 사용하는지 검색해보니 아래 두 가지가 가장 많이 추천되었습니다.

메트로 플러스, 그리고 프라지프로 입니다. 둘다 히카리유에스에이에서 제작됩니다. 

오늘은 프라지 프로 PraziPro에 대해서 알아보겠습니다.

성분: 옥시비스프로패놀 (용매제로 사용), 5% 이상의 프라지콴텔 (무게 비)

CONTENTS: oxybispropanol (as an inert solubilizing agent) and <5% praziquantel by weight. 

치료중 금기: 해수 시스템의 편형충이 배양중인 곳을 제외하고는 알려진 금기사용은 없다. 프라지프로는 수조와 연못 관리자가 원치않는 기생충 문제를 만났을때 사용하여 쉽게 도움을 받을 수 있도록 만들어졌다. (아마 flatwarm 류를 키우는 분들은 사용하면 안된다는 뜻인 것 같네요. 해수어 하시는 분들 중에 아래 사진에 나오는 종을 키우는 분들이 있나봅니다. 그래서 얘네를 죽이지 않으면 얘네 과의 같은 기생충이 죽지 않으므로 편의를 위해 그냥 죽이는걸로 만들었으니 이거 키우면 쓰지말라는 말인 듯 합니다.)

CONTRAINDICATIONS: There are no known contraindications to the use of Liquid PraziPro except for use in marine (saltwater) systems where flatworms of the Polycladida order are being cultured. Because We Care: PraziPro has been developed to offer assistance to aquarium or pond keepers who are encountering problems with unwanted worms or parasites and for ease of use by the user.

사용법: 전념이 심한 질병상황의 연못, 담수, 해수 어항 그리고 장식용의 연못 물고기들을 치료한다.

약욕법: 대량 혹은 부분환수로 새로운 물을 넣으면서 처리를 시작한다. 얼티매이트나 리퀴드 버퍼 제품을 이용해서 전처리 된 물을 사용 권장한다. 암모니아, 염소, 클로라민 등이 제거된 물이어야 한다. 필터시스템을 멈출 필요는 없다 하지만 카본 필터는 제거한다. 프로틴 스키머 같은 거품 분류 기기는 멈추어 둔다. UV 살균기도 멈춘다. 세게 흔든 후 사용한다. 수조용을 사용할 때는 20갤런(75리터) 물에 1티스푼(약 5ml) 를 사용한다. 연못용을 사용할 때는 32 갤런(121리터)당 1티스푼(약5ml)를 사용하면 된다. 이렇게 사용할 경우 2.5mg/L 의 농도를 만들 수 있다. 잘 퍼저나갈 수 있도록 필터박스나 연못이나 어항의 가장자리 주위로 뿌려주면 된다. 한 번 처리하여 5-7일동안 효과가 지속된다. 필요한 경우 반복하여 처리한다. 하지만 3~5일 보다 더 잦은 주기로 하면 안된다. 예방제로도 사용된다. 다른 약품과 함께 사용하면 안된다. 거품이 약간 일어날 수 있다. 

Directions For Use

For treatment of praziquantel-susceptible disease conditions in pond, freshwater and marine aquariums and ornamental pond fishes. AS A BATH: Start treatment with as large a water change as practical or start with new water. Any water used should first be conditioned withULTIMATE or a combination of Liquid Buffered ClorAm-X and Stress-X to remove ammonia, chlorine and chloramines. Do not stop filtration, but remove activated carbon and stop foam-fractionation (protein skimming) and UV sterilization. SHAKE VIGOROUSLY before use. Measure Aquarium Solutions Liquid PraziPro at the rate of one (1) teaspoon per 20 gallons of water to be treated. (one (1) fl. oz. per 120 gallons) Measure Pond Solutions Liquid PraziPro at the rate of one (1) teaspoon per 32 gallons of water to be treated. (one (1) fl. oz. per 200 gallons) This produces a concentration of 2.5 mg/L. Distribute the proper amount around the edge of the aquarium or pond or directly in to the filter box to achieve the best overall distribution. A single treatment lasting 5-7 days is normally sufficient. Repeat as necessary, but no more than once every 3 to 5 days. May be used as a preventative, at the standard dosage, when disease is likely. Do not use with other drugs or disease treatments. May cause temporary foaming.

추천법: 원치않는 기생충이 발견되거나 가능성이 보이면 언제든 사용해도 된다.

RECOMMENDATIONS: Use Liquid PraziPro any time unwanted parasites are noticed or introduction is probable.
